What is the Arnprior Community Policing "Jail or Bail"?
The
Arnprior Community Policing Committee's annual Jail or Bail fundraiser
is the main fundraising activity put on by the ACPC to keep our doors
open throughout the year. Prominent members of the community are
brought before the judge to contest charges against them (made up
charges...). Before the judge will let them out of jail, they must make
bail.
Jail or Bail is a day of fun for all involved and we regularly have
volunteers that participate every few years.
Unlike the Ottawa area community policing committee's, Arnprior Community Policing raises most of their own funds through local community raffles and their annual Jail or Bail fundraiser. The Arnprior Community Policing Committee also receives funding from the Arnprior Police Services Board.
Does the Arnprior
Community Policing committee hold more than one Jail or Bail a year?

The
Arnprior Community Policing Committee holds their annual Jail or Bail
early in the summer every year.
There is only one Arnprior Community Policing Committee Jail or Bail, and should not be confused with other "JAIL or BAIL" type fundraisers that are held during the year. Some of these fundraisers are put on by organizations that are not from the Arnprior area. The Arnprior Community Policing Committee is not associated with these fundraisers in any way, shape or form.
We appreciate the continued support that we receive from members of the Arnprior community, and look forward to your continued support at our 2008 Jail or Bail fundraiser.
The date for our annual Jail or Bail has not been set for 2008. Please check back often as the date will be posted here shortly.. This will be an all day event. Bring the family, donate some funds and help us to continue to serve the Arnprior Community.
